● Medical Innovation — Dr LASRY

"AVALL", a medical advancement to treat varicose veins effectively,
AVALL = Improved endovenous laser.

The AVALL method (Venous Ablation under Local Anesthesia with Laser) is a medical innovation developed by Dr Gabriel LASRY, a specialist in venous conditions. It combines minimally invasive surgery and next-generation endovenous laser, with one clear goal: to offer a modern, fast and safe varicose vein treatment.

Origin & Foundations

The Birth of the "AVALL" Method

"AVALL" was born from an observation: classical varicose vein treatments (stripping, ASVAL, CHIVA, Laser…) often present limitations in terms of comfort, effectiveness, post-operative outcomes and results.

Dr LASRY developed an innovative method that combines, in a single surgical procedure, the two leading treatments currently used:

Next-generation endovenous laser
Minimally invasive surgery

Always under local anesthesia with immediate resumption of walking, outcomes as simple as those of endovenous laser alone, with more reliable long-term results.

The advantages

The Advantages of the AVALL Method

An approach designed for patient comfort, combining surgical performance and fast recovery.

🏠

No hospitalization

Outpatient treatment, return home the same day.

💉

Tumescent local anesthesia

No femoral nerve block, no spinal anesthesia, no general anesthesia.

1mm mini-incision

No visible scar. Remarkable aesthetic result.

😌

Pain-free

Thanks to local anesthesia and next-generation laser technology.

Quick return to daily life

Return to professional and social activities the next day.

🔮

Advanced technology

Combining endovenous laser and minimally invasive surgery in a single procedure.

AVALL = Improved endovenous laser

The advantage of AVALL over endovenous laser alone is that it treats both the cause (the high feeding point, the incontinence) and the consequence (the varicose veins). The risk of recurrence is therefore higher with endovenous laser alone, while the post-operative outcomes are nearly identical for the patient.

🧪 What is the AVALL method?

Procedure Overview

The AVALL method involves performing next-generation endovenous laser and minimally invasive surgery simultaneously in a single procedure.

1

Prior venous mapping

A venous map must be performed by the angiologist to identify the veins to be treated and those to be preserved.

2

Essential consultation

This defines the treatment plan and selects the appropriate treatment for each type of varicose vein.

3

Tumescent local anesthesia

Only the vein is anesthetized — no spinal anesthesia or complete leg anesthesia.

4

Minimally invasive surgery + crossectomy

Complete closure of the varicose vein's feeding point at the groin (crossectomy).

5

Endovenous laser

The laser fiber is introduced to close the great saphenous vein, the primary cause of varicose veins.

6

End of procedure

Steristrips + compression stockings. The patient leaves on foot. Activity resumed the next day.
